Backward stepping
Stand with feet hip width apart.
Alternatively take one foot as far back as possible and tap the floor with your toes, bending the knee of the supporting leg. Bring the leg back to the starting position. Repeat.
If necessary, support yourself with a cane, wall or the back of a chair.
