Starting position:
Lie on your back with your shoulder blade depressed down, your shoulder abducted and extended back and internally rotated, your elbow extended with palm facing down (pronated), your wrist flexed and deviated away from the thumb (ulnar deviation) and your finger tips flexed but knuckles extended.
Assistant / therapist manually moves the thumb knuckle (MCP Joint) between flexion and extension. Keep the other joints still. Alternate between these two positions.
The technique should be painless.
The movements should only be taken to the point where the patient begins to feel something.
