Scapular retraction in prone

Lie on your stomach with your head supported and neck in neutral position. Place your arms by your sides, palms facing downward.

Squeeze your shoulder blades in (towards your spine) and down (towards your buttocks). Focus on the muscle tension in the mid back between your shoulder blades. Hold the tension for a moment and then relax.
