Shoulder abduction with elbow bent – open hand

Start by standing with your arms by your sides.
Bend and lift one arm, so that your hand points towards the ceiling, and your elbow points out to the side, slightly in front of your body.
Lift your hand up in front of you as high as is comfortable.
As you lift your hand, straighten your fingers as much as you are able.
Return to the starting position and relax your hand.
