Lie on your back as shown in the picture and press your lumbar spine (lower back) down into a neutral position on the floor. A hand on your lower abdomen will make it easier to control the area. You might want a pillow under your head.
Stretch your other hand over your head with arm straight and feel the lengthening along your side while keeping your lower back controlled. It must maintain its neutral position. Return arm to the starting position.
Repeat with the other arm.
